Have you ever tried to charge your phone, but forgot to plug it in? When you needed to connect the most, maybe to pass the time on a long trip or during a break, your battery losses power and eventually your phone will shut down. Recently, I found my battery low and looked down to see, “Hey, I didn’t connect it!” My phone was connected to the cord but my cord wasn’t connected to the outlet. No wonder it continued to stay the same!
Honesty is always the best policy. I remember completing Beyond the Building: The War Within and thinking to myself, “Great, you can take a breather before you work on the study guide.” This series has been in the making for several years, so I wanted to celebrate its completion.
This week I created a not fair list to God. Believe it or not, the list was not my idea. I was staring at a blank sheet of paper and then heard pretty clearly, “Write your list.” For those of you who are wondering if God spoke with a booming voice or with a thunderous sound as in the Ten Commandments movie, He did not.
Our lives are the sum total of what we have experienced. I have been reading about healing from a wounded spirit. As a burden bearer, one that genuinely empathizes with others, there are some areas of my life that need attention. One is my ability to connect with other people.
